Singapore travel insurance FAQs
I heard medical costs are expensive in Singapore, am I covered for these?
If you get a sudden injury or illness your policy covers you for the cost of medical care.
I plan on riding a moped/scooter during my trip. Am I covered? There is no additional 'extra' that you need to pay to include cover for riding a moped or scooter at time of purchasing your TID policy. It is automatically included in the standard cover. Just keep in mind, you will need to have a valid licence that allows you ride to the same class of vehicle back in Australia. More details can be found here.
I'm already overseas, can I still purchase travel insurance?
Yes, you can. Unlike other insurers, TID allows you to purchase a policy even if you have started your trip. There is a 72 hour waiting period before your cover begins if you purchase your policy once you have left your home in Australia.
Read the policy wording for full terms, conditions and exclusions and to ensure the product suits your needs.
