If you get a sudden injury or illness your policy covers you for the cost of medical care.
There is no additional 'extra' that you need to pay to include cover for riding a moped or scooter at time of purchasing your TID policy. It is allowed for under the standard cover but, just keep in mind, you will need to have a valid licence that allows you ride to the same class of vehicle back in your country of residence and at your destination. Yes, you can. Unlike other insurers, TID allows you to purchase a policy even if you have started your trip. There is a 72 hour waiting period before your cover begins if you purchase your policy once you have left your home in Australia.
