Super Typhoon Bavi impacted Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands in early July 2026 as a powerful Category 5-equivalent tropical cyclone, causing significant damage, power outages, flooding, and disruption to transportation and essential services. The storm has since moved westward and is forecast to continue towards Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, and eastern China, with the potential for further travel disruptions in affected areas.
