Travel insurance cover is available for cycling activity or mountain biking on your trip and is included in The Basics, The Works or Annual multi-trip policy plans.
However exclusions do apply. Some examples of the exclusions are extreme sports mountain biking, bike paragliding or cliff jumping on a bike. Other exclusions on your policy are, damage to sports and leisure equipment such as bikes, while in use, are not covered.
There is no cover for damage to sports and leisure equipment due to normal wear and tear, including dents and scratches.
Cover back to Australia if a medical practitioner requires you to be medically escorted home due to a sudden illness or injury that happens on your trip.
Insurance if you have to cancel your trip due to unforeseeable events outside of your control (e.g. sudden illness).
Cover if your luggage is stolen, permanently lost or accidentally damaged due to circumstances outside of your control.
