Travel Insurance when Cycling and Mountain Biking

Are you covered for Mountain biking?

Travel insurance cover is available if you get hurt or injured while cycling or mountain biking on your trip overseas, or if you take your bike with you and it’s damaged while in transit.

Cover available on our International plans which may help while cycling or mountain biking overseas includes:

    • 24/7 Emergency Assistance
    • Medical overseas assistance
    • Evacuation to the closest medical facilities
    • Repatriation back home if you’re severely injured and its medically necessary
    • Luggage cover for items lost or damaged while in transit with your carrier.

Our Domestic plan offers luggage cover only – medical cover is not available in Australia.

There are also a number of exclusions, which include:

    • Extreme sports mountain biking, bike paragliding or cliff jumping on a bike.
    • Damaged sporting equipment while in use
    • Any snow sports if you didn’t take up the snow sports option when you purchased your plan.
    • Participating or training in a professional sport.
    • Normal wear and tear, including dents and scratches.

You take care of the travel itinerary, we'll take care of the travel insurance.

Cover back to Australia if a medical practitioner requires you to be medically escorted home due to a sudden illness or injury that happens on your trip.
