Visas and Passports for Vietnam

Reading time: 1 minute

Do I need to apply for a Visa?

Australians can apply for a single entry electronic visa that is valid for up to 30 days with the Vietnamese National Web Portal of Immigration. You’ll then need to print it out and present it at check in. It is advised to keep this print out with you at all times during your travel in Vietnam. Learn more.

To avoid scams, use only official Government of Vietnam services when arranging your visa.

Can I extend my visa and what are the costs involved?

If you’re planning to stay longer than 30 days then you’ll need to apply directly with an Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam by completing a visa application form online.
