a claim unfortunately yes, for a very distressing emergent situation.

I have to tell you I am thrilled with the way this was handled by your team, not only on location in the USA during the situation (or wherever the call centre is when calling you from there) but back here in Queensland as well. Everyone I have spoken to who has handled my case has been professional, empathetic and efficient even when I have been distressed and confused myself on the phone, and also through the avalanche of confusing paperwork which has now descended upon us from US medical providers.

I cannot fault any aspect of the way this situation has been handled by your company. I have been provided with full explanations and information about the process all along the way, which has very much helped lessen my fears and stresses related to what happened. As you can imagine I essentially 're-live' what happened all over again every time I get another bill or contact in the mail or by phone, so it has helped immensely to feel that the situation is 'under control' by yourselves and I do not need to worry further.

So absolutely yes I am completely happy with your service and will not hesitate to recommend TID to others!

What an amazing service you provide.

I was trekking in Nepal in November and encountered altitude sickness. A friend of mine contacted TID from the middle of the himalayas in a remote village and within hours I was rescued from the mountain.

At no stage did we encounter any resistance to cover my claim. The service was outstanding! Thankyou TID. I have used your company on several occasions now and have never had to make a claim until now.

I cant thank you enough or recommend you highly enough to family and friends and even to travel agencies when i tell my story.

I want to praise your company for the recent service

While in Europe, some minor accidental damage occurred to our hire car. This was the first time in 25 years of travelling here and abroad that I have had to make a claim on Travel Insurance.

When I returned, I contacted your company to initiate a claim. At all stages I was handled with courtesy and efficiency. There were no problems and I was impressed with the amount of contact I received updating me on the status of the claim. The claim was processed and payment received in a relatively short time.

We have been using your travel insurance for many years

We travel overseas a couple of times a year, if not more, and have been using your travel insurance for many years.We have always found your prices very reasonable and so don't even bother to check with other companies now.

When we book our air fare then we just automatically book with you guys for the insurance. Thankfully we have never had to make a claim, but we did ring up one day when we wanted to extend our overseas trip and had already paid the travel insurance. I spoke to a very nice young man that was very friendly and helpful....and were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn't have to pay any more!!

We like the friendly email we get from Travel Insurance Direct when we get home, it's a nice friendly touch. We will continue to use your travel insurance and we do recommend you to friends and people we meet on our travels. We hope we never have to make a claim from you, but we are confident that should we need to call you when overseas, we would get the professional and friendly service that we have always had from you.

Ten out of ten for service from TID! Phone staff were very very friendly, polite and informative when I had to call in and make a small adjustment to our policy, and the follow up email is most appreciated as well.

hi - wanted to say we are happy with the service your company gave us and the care they took when we did fall ill and contacted your emergency help line. A nurse talked to us about our health and treatment we got and that was really reassuring.

Plus when we got home our claim was processed very fast.

TID has always come out on top

Fortunately, I've not needed to make a claim, but just for some feedback, I'd like to say that I always find using the TID website very easy and I love your links with the Footprints Network.

When comparing quotes and benefits with other insurance companies, TID has always come out on top.

If I do have to make a claim in the future, I feel confident that the level of service TID will provide will make a claim easier to deal with.

"Very confident in your service."

I just want to write in and thank the staf for helping me while I was overseas in Bali for one month durring October. This was the very first time I'd bought travel insurance on line and I was a little bit worried about purchasing something like this online. However on this trip was also the first time I actually used my travel insurance!

A week and a half into the holiday I got very bad food poisoning and was taken to hospital. The doctor made me ring my travel insurance from my sic bed and I was in a lot of pain and distress. However the staff who I spoke to over the phone from the case worker to the nurse were great! I was very upset over the phone and the ladies were so understanding even offering to ring my parents back home for me!

They even did a follow up call to my hotel a day or two latter to see if everything was ok and if I needed any more help. And even paid the bills as soon as they got the Indonesian doctors reports on my health!

I had a quick recovery after being ill for 4days and I thank you guys for that too because you took the worries of paying for my treatment off my hands so I didn't have to think about that..it was great to speak to a western nurse also on the phone :-)

I go back to Bali on the 30th December this year for another month and I feel very confident now about purchasing my travel insurance on line with you guys.
