We cannot cover every woman at every stage of a pregnancy and at a certain point in pregnancy medical professionals will advise against long trips. There are also restrictions for higher risk pregnancies.

| You are not yet 26 weeks pregnant | We offer normal and standard cover for trips that end before you reach 26 weeks |
| Your child was conceived through assisted reproduction | We ask for an additional premium and only cover trips that end before you reach 26 weeks |
| You are expecting a natural multiple birth | We offer cover if you pay an additional premium under our Pre-existing Medical Condition Plan and if the trip ends before you reach 19 weeks |
| You are expecting a multiple birth through assisted reproduction | Sorry, but we cannot offer cover |
| You have experienced any pregnancy complications prior to your policy being issued | Sorry, but we cannot offer cover |

Medical expenses associated with pregnancy and birth
Travel Insurance Direct’s cover for pregnant women does not include any care related to the pregnancy, like visits to an obstetrician while you travel. We also do not cover the costs of childbirth or the cost of caring for a newborn.
