Wouldn't use any other travel insurance.

Helpful, great price, easy to communicate
On arrival in Japan I was concerned about a serious eye infection and after several days when it seemed to be getting worse, I needed to see an eye specialist.
Language was a problem as the doctor in Kyoto spoke no english so I decided to phone Travel Insurance Direct on the number provided by them, seeking guidance.
The staff were kind, caring and helpfull far beyond my expectations. The following day they phoned me again with a nurse who gave me advice and directions. Being in a foreign country it was comforting and reassuring hearing from someone from home. I continued on with confidence to enjoy a wonderful trip.

We travel overseas a couple of times a year, if not more, and have been using your travel insurance for many years.We have always found your prices very reasonable and so don't even bother to check with other companies now.
When we book our air fare then we just automatically book with you guys for the insurance. Thankfully we have never had to make a claim, but we did ring up one day when we wanted to extend our overseas trip and had already paid the travel insurance. I spoke to a very nice young man that was very friendly and helpful....and were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn't have to pay any more!!

TID has always come out on top
Fortunately, I've not needed to make a claim, but just for some feedback, I'd like to say that I always find using the TID website very easy and I love your links with the Footprints Network.
When comparing quotes and benefits with other insurance companies, TID has always come out on top.
If I do have to make a claim in the future, I feel confident that the level
of service TID will provide will make a claim easier to deal with.

Great prices, great policy coverage, easy claim process
We've conidered booking with other companies but have stayed with TID. Made one claim (they paid too little - I thought) and then they called me to go through the claim and I'd missed the 'hundred' figure - I thought I'd claimed $224 but had written $22. Once it was sorted they paid the remaining 202. Felt like a right fool! We recommend them to everyone.

Cheap, reliable and quick. I unfortunalty got sick in bali an thank god i had tavel insurance, hospital for 6 days over $6700 USD - TID super helpful thanks marcus.
Well done TID - there are plenty of companies who could learn a lot from you in terms of customer service, product knowledge and quick processing times thanks heaps - especially thanks to Marcus (surname???) who was at the end of the phone helping me when i was in pain and sick.

"Very confident in your service."
I just want to write in and thank the staf for helping me while I was overseas in Bali for one month durring October. This was the very first time I'd bought travel insurance on line and I was a little bit worried about purchasing something like this online. However on this trip was also the first time I actually used my travel insurance!
A week and a half into the holiday I got very bad food poisoning and was taken to hospital. The doctor made me ring my travel insurance from my sic bed and I was in a lot of pain and distress. However the staff who I spoke to over the phone from the case worker to the nurse were great! I was very upset over the phone and the ladies were so understanding even offering to ring my parents back home for me!
They even did a follow up call to my hotel a day or two latter to see if everything was ok and if I needed any more help. And even paid the bills as soon as they got the Indonesian doctors reports on my health!
I had a quick recovery after being ill for 4days and I thank you guys for that too because you took the worries of paying for my treatment off my hands so I didn't have to think about that..it was great to speak to a western nurse also on the phone :-)
I go back to Bali on the 30th December this year for another month and I feel very confident now about purchasing my travel insurance on line with you guys.

In this day and age when customer service is sadly lacking, TID excels in A1 customer service. From getting a quote online to making a personal call to query whether I'd be covered for swine flu if something happened to me overseas - their service is hard to beat. Within second a staff member had emailed me details related to their policy on swine flu, which was fair & hard to beat.

"Absolutely amazing when things went horribly wrong"
An insurance policy can be cheap, but if they desert you when you really need them then price is irrelevant. TID does both - they are very cost competitive and when my son's friend needed surgery in Thailand after a vehicle accident and needed to be flown to Australia ASAP, TID were absolutely brilliant. They provided an interpreter who could understand what the Doctors were saying and got all the travelling party home as quickly as possibly. I cannot recommend them highly highly enough - great price, but most of all, delivered the best service when we absolutely needed it!

How often do we take out insurance and hope that we never have to use it? Well the last time I travelled I became very ill. Travelling on my own, a long way from home and loved ones, and there I was, too ill to really be concerned about anything. Raced off by ambulance, fortunately in a country that did speak english, but still on my own. So when I returned home you can imagine the last thing I needed was to have anymore bad memories from my so called "holiday". Anyway back to the point, I downloaded all of the paperwork off the net, visited my doctor and sent in the required receipts. Well within a week I had had notification of my application being received and in another four weeks I had my reimbursement in the bank. Thank you I can not recommend TID highly enough. I will always use them when travelling in the future.

"Peace of mind with Allianz"
I used TID for the first time in 2006 after doing a lot of research on other sites. TID is the most competitive, easy to use web site and the policy is explained in wording that I understand and has no "jargon". It offers peace of mind and value for money as well as being underwritten by Allianz (a name to be trusted). I have not used any other insurers since - if I find a good thing, I stick to it!

Have never purchased travel insurance in this way before. Beginning the research process was daunting until I found Travel Direct. Best price by far, easiest, most comprehensive site to use and fast. Have bookmarked this site for future use.

"TID saved me money"
We have used TID before because it is just so easy and cheap. My Mum is off to NZ and had been quoted over $180 from other companies because of her age. She didn't believe I could get it cheaper, but in literally 2 minutes I had printed out her Certificate of Insurance for a total price of $111.00! She was so happy and said the money she had saved would buy her lots of cups of tea on her NZ adventure! Thanks so much.
